This has been a very cold winter, and it is still cold. Last night the temperature was down to 38. I like the eighties, and I do not like cold weather. I never seem to really get warm in cold weather. I had emptied my greenhouse Sunday, so I had to cover plants last night. <br /><br />The Lincoln Parish Museum has had a wonderful 2010-2011, and we are looking forward to more adventures as we move to spring and summer activities. On Thursday we feature the Knifty Knitters knitting with us. They are a wonderful group of ladies, and they would love to have you come and join them. They all do the neatest projects, but their main project is the knitting of the prayer shawls. These shawls are blessed by the priest at the Episcopal Church and delivered to those who are ill. <br /><br />This month we have the Cosmos Club, The Department Club, and the Ruston Civic Guild meeting with us. <br />These groups bring so much interest and support to this wonderful museum. We enjoy the different groups. Do you need a place to meet? Just call and reserve a time. <br /><br />May 14th is our first Legends and Lore Cemetery Tour. Mark your calendars for this. This promises to be a wonderful adventure for all. Kay Prince is a board member, and she is the chairman for this event. She has some wonderful things planned. We will meet in Greenwood Cemetery, and the Dixie Theater will host us if the weather does not cooperate. I will post the schedule for you as soon as all is turned in.<br /><br />We have been given another beautiful doll collection, and it is now on display. Mrs. Judith Perritt has donated some lovely dolls for you to look at. Our collection is growing, and we are very proud. Make time to come by and see the new dolls.
